Program where different artistic, scientific and technological practices come together that contemplates five areas of interconnected activities:
Computer and audiovisual resources, transdisciplinary research and development, training: workshops, seminars and debates, exhibitions and symposiums. It is projected as a citizen laboratory and place for meeting, debate and reflection around digital culture, with the aim of creating a network of collaboration between citizens and creators from different fields. It is a scenario of interconnection between apparently dissimilar but permeable areas, which allows a metaphorical rereading of society structured in multiple nodes and networks. It is a system of cultural production and dissemination in which the different agents have an active role and collectively build new forms of organization in the creation and transfer of knowledge through new technologies.

It was born in a small computer room at the Conde Duque Cultural Center and soon became a center of resources, production and debate for artists, scientists, thinkers, students and all types of researchers. The activity of an art center converges in the same space with places of experimentation where not only theoretical and artistic discourses are exhibited and disseminated, but it is also a place where artistic, scientific and technological knowledge is produced. At the beginning of 2002, a first exhibition and an international symposium of art, science and technology Cibervisión02_fluid dynamics was held, which reflected on the idea of flow in information and neuronal activity; The program would become a permanent structure at the Conde Duque Cultural Center. Banquet_metabolism and communication, the cardinal idea was metabolism as a transformation process that was symbolically extrapolated to different fields. The next edition, Banquet_communication in evolution, established correspondences between the genetic and computer code as a point of reflection. In 2006, Digital Culture combined different activities around the concept of transit, transformation processes, interconnection and interdependence between biological, social, technological and cultural systems. These exhibition programs were part of the daily life of meetings, workshops, debates and conversations of MediaLab Madrid.
