Robotics 0.1

Workshops  ·  Winter cycle of science and technology  ·  2002

Direction: Ricardo Iglesias Iglesias (Professor of Multimedia at IDEP, Barcelona) and Gerald Kogler (Programmer and collaborator of Futurelab, Ars Electrónica Center, Linz, Austria)
Date: November 4 to 9, 2002
Held within the framework of Science Week, the workshop was dedicated to the exploration and development of robotic technologies. Using the games
LEGO MindStorms, it revolved around the concepts of robotics, control and interference between the human sphere and the technological sphere, tele-robotics and the flow of information.
Likewise, he proposed the creation of animated and independent robots through programming, with the use of the "smart brick", microprocessors, sensors
contact, light sensors and motion sensors.
As part of the workshop activity, a series of conferences were held in which Moisés Mañas (Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia) participated,
as did Vicente Matellán Olivera (Department of Experimental Sciences and Engineering of the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid), Carlos Corpa (Member of
Amorphic Robot Works of New York) and the workshop directors. The results of the workshop were later presented.
