A project by Santiago Ortiz in collaboration with Federico Morán, Luis Rico, Mónica Solé and Alfonso Valencia. Production: medialabmadrid and Protein Design Group of the National Center for Biotechnology (CBN / CSIC) of the Autonomous University of Madrid, in collaboration with the Institute for Nanoscale Science & Technology of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Network topology has become a paradigm for forms of organization in all the sciences, mathematics, social discourses and the arts. One of the specific fields of scientific study where this quality manifests itself is the interaction between genes. The network structure formed by molecular interaction defines genetic functional aspects of great importance. This project aims to develop essentially digital interfaces for exploring genetic networks. The culmination of the first phase of the project was two interfaces exploring the genetic interaction network of the Escherichia Coli bacteria.
