Presentation of the research works developed by medialabmadrid and that were taken to the international Ars Electronica festival in Switzerland as well as the
papers that were also presented at the festival.
The three proposals presented by medialabmadrid – Q + G (Quiasma + GNOM), Algorithmic Echolocation, and Bordergames – offer an overview that takes us from the genetic networks of a bacteria to celebrations in conflict zones in Colombia; from the harmonious analysis of the chemical composition of the Earth's atmosphere over the last 420,000 years, to the problems related to the social integration of young North Africans in the Madrid neighborhood of Lavapiés.
