La Virreina Center de la Imatge is a free public museum institution dedicated to contemporary art in Barcelona. Located on La Rambla and as a passage to the El Raval neighborhood, in recent years it has focused on exploring the ideological and aesthetic uses of images.
In 2003 he co-produced the exhibition Banquete03_Metabolismo y Comunicación, together with the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) of Karlsruhe/Germany and the Centro Cultural Conde Duque/MediaLabMadrid (MLM) of the Madrid City Council. Since 2008 it has been the Image Center, a space where artistic proposals of visual creation are presented with photography programming, literary festivals or digital documentation.
