Writer, professor, translator and intellectual committed to the left. Graduate and Doctor in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and Doctor in Social Communication cum laude from the University of Münster (Germany). He worked as a professor and researcher in Germany, France, the United States, Canada, Brazil and Spain. He was a full professor in the Department of Sociology IV of the Complutense University of Madrid and professor of Communication at the University of Seville. He directed the economics and culture section of the Marxist Research Foundation (FIM), linked to the PCE. Author of a vast personal production of three of his most important books, The Formation of the Submissive Mentality (1993), Linguistic Intoxication (2007), where he shows us how the media and ideological system can ensure that the preferences of the masses can be, paradoxically, diametrically opposed to the logical interests of those masses and Ecology of communication (2004). She also addressed the issue of female discrimination in her work Sociogenesis of Witches. The origin of discrimination against women (2007). He was an excellent connoisseur of German culture and translated important works by Karl Marx (Capital), Schopenhauer, Karl Kaspers, Inmanuel Kant, Friedrich Schiller, August Bebel, JB Fichte, Harry Pross and Bertolt Brecht.
