
Visual artist in his installations delves into geometry and its impact on public space. Installations that, starting in 1995, began to become interactive, responding to architectural aspects through the use of video tracking technology (www.inoutsite.de). He has developed numerous installations on the relationship between nature, science and civilization (Venus I-IV or Double Helix Swing, which would earn him an honorable mention at Ars Electronica 2006). Damm has exhibited his work in individual exhibitions such as those organized at Goethe House, New York; Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, Aachen; or Kunstsammlung NRW, Dusseldorf; and in collectives such as, among others, those held at the CAAC-Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, Seville; Ludwig Forum for International Art, Aachen; Conde Duque Cultural Center, Madrid; Wallraf-Richartz-Museum Cologne; Ars Electronica 1999; o ISEA 2002, Nagoya. He is currently working on an interactive installation for a public space in the Schadow Strasse metro station in Dusseldorf. Since 2008 he has held the chair of Media Environments (Media Arts and Design) at the Bauhaus University of Weimar.
