Philosopher, writer and political scientist. George is president of the anti-globalization association Attac, an organization that promotes control of financial markets, and of the Council of the Transnational Institute of Amsterdam. From 1990 to 1995 he was on the board of Greenpeace International and Greenpeace France. She has also been a consultant for several specialized agencies of the United Nations.
