Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca, he forms an artistic group with Marta de Gonzalo. His latest projects revolve around the political construction of subjects and communities, the reappropriation of resistant popular culture, storytelling, poor image, memory and emotional discomfort under the new forms of capitalism. They are secondary school teachers, carrying out work of reflection and artistic practice on audiovisual literacy and critical pedagogies. They also carry out training for teachers and artists, as well as self-representation projects with young people. They have exhibited at Formato Comodo, Madrid; Endless House, Madrid/Cáceres; Gates of Castilla, Murcia; TinBox Gallery and TnBA, Bordeaux; Patio Herreriano Museum, Valladolid; Intermediae Matadero, Madrid; the “la Caixa” Foundation, Lleida; Fundació Espais, Girona; MediaLabMadrid and the MEIAC, Badajoz. They have participated in group exhibitions at CCM Haroldo Conti, Buenos Aires; CAAC, Seville; LABoral Center for Art and Industrial Creation, Gijón; ZKM Museum für Neue Kunst, Karlsruhe; Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop; Cervantes Institute, Beijing; Le Commissariat, Paris; Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea, San Sebastián and Galerie Art & Essai. Rennes. His audiovisual works have been seen at the Reina Sofía Museum, Madrid; Tàpies Foundation, Barcelona; Dones International Film Festival, Barcelona; Zinebi, Bilbao; Andalusian Film Archive; and various headquarters of the Cervantes Institute. At MediaLab they presented Stories of a chosen crisis: four video installations around the themes of friendship, work, politics, war and the media. It was about breaking the mechanisms of automatic understanding and suggesting the active thinking of other images, other collective and personal worlds.
