Oliva María Rubio, Doctor in Art History from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UAM, 1992. She is an art historian and curator. She was artistic director of PHotoESPAÑA during the editions from 2001 to 2003 where she developed themes related to identity that took shape in Desde el Sur, Femeninos y Nos-Otros and launched more than 60 exhibitions of national and foreign artists. Director of the exhibition department of La Fábrica (2004-2012), artistic director of La Fábrica between 2012-2019 and director of the PHotoEspaña Master. Theories and Artistic Projects between 2015-2019. From 2000 to 2012, he was responsible for the Generations project. Obra Social Caja Madrid art awards and scholarships. From 1987 to 1994, he taught classes at the seminar on contemporary art of the Master of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts, organized by the Institute of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts, in Madrid. From 2008 to 2011 he directed the summer photography course and gave lectures at the School of the Arts, organized by the Círculo de Bellas Artes and the Carlos III University of Madrid. She is the author of The Inner Look. Surrealism and painting, Tecnos, Metropolis Collection, 1994, and numerous articles in catalogs and magazines.
