Doctor in Biology, she has developed her research activity in the field of environmental microbiology, evolution, immunology and virology. Researcher at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and the universities of Massachusetts and Tulane. Scientific disseminator, she was Head of the Culture Projects Area at CosmoCaixa (science museum of the "La Caixa" Foundation) and scientific advisor at MediaLabMadrid. He worked at the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), Department of Science and Society, developing and managing publicly funded projects. His professional career turned towards development cooperation working in organizations such as Creative Handicrafts or Navdanya. She currently works as a project technician at APRAMP, an organization for the protection of victims of trafficking.
He participated in Medialab Madrid in the context of the exhibition Banquete_Metabolism and communication in the transdisciplinary symposium with the conference Metabolism and communication together with Juan Luis Arsuaga. He also offered the bioinformatics seminar at banquet_03 Origin of cellular movement: a genomic and proteomic approach together with John Hall, dedicated to the study of the function of microtubules in the neuronal activity of animals, and consequently in human thinking. The seminar closed with a reflection from art towards these fascinating aspects of the study of life: linear information storage (sequence), translation into three-dimensional information (function) and integration into an organized system (life).
