Doctor in Visual and Intermedia Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia-Spain. University Specialist in Intranet and Internet Programming.CFP. Graduate in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia-Spain Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos. He is currently a professor of Media Art in the Department of Sculpture (Audiovisual Area) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia-Spain. Director since 2012 of the Official Master's Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia (UPV).
Member since 2000 of the “Laboratorio de Luz” R&D&I research group. Member of the Technical Committee of the ACE 2005, 2006 and 2007 international conference program. (International conference on advances in computer entertainment technology ACM-SIGCHI). Member of the artistic committee of DIME-ATS, 2006 and 2008 (Digital Interactive Media Entertainment & Arts). Jury of the Ciber@rt Bilbao 2004 Festival (Multimedia Section and Minimizations). Since 1996 he has made use of new technologies applied to art. To this end, he expanded his studies and research in electronic art with different scholarships at Southampton Solent University (United Kingdom), Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA), and Ars Electronica Center (AEC) (Linz-Austria).
His work has been awarded in different Festivals and exhibitions related to art and technology, inside and outside Spain since 1997. He has been part of round tables at electronic art festivals such as FutureEverything (Manchester), Ars Electrónica- (Linz-Austria), Transmediale (Berlin), AMAZE (Berlin) and ISEA, Istanbul. As well as he has also worked on R&D&I research projects related to Art, Technology and Society ATS, together with the research group “Laboratorio de luz” exhibiting their results in national and international spaces and conferences such as ACE 2005, Els Brassiers (Belgium), Centro Párraga (Murcia), Circulo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, Banquete-La Laboral Gijón, ZKM (Germany) or Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo CAAC, among others.
He participated in Medialab Madrid within the conferences organized for the “Robotics 0.1” workshop (November 4 to 9, 2002), held within the framework of Science Week. The workshop was dedicated to the exploration and development of robotic technologies. Using LEGO's MindStorms sets, it revolved around the concepts of robotics, control and interference between the human sphere and the technological sphere, telerobotics and the flow of information. Likewise, he proposed the creation of animated and independent robots through programming, with the use of the "smart brick", microprocessors, contact sensors, light sensors and motion sensors.
