Artist. He graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Lisbon and has a Master's degree from the University of Oxford. She is director of the institution “Cultivamos Cultura”, dedicated to experimental art in Portugal and Ethiopia that facilitates collaboration between artists and scientists. He has worked on the convergence between art and biology since the late 90s in the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands and Portugal, investigating the conceptual and the variety of possibilities that the biological sciences can offer in terms of visual representation in art. .
In addition to having exhibited her work internationally, de Menezes was a guest at the Ars Electronica Festival: Out of the Box in 2019 and organized two Ars Electronica Gardens in 2020 (Lisbon and St. Louis). She was a representative of Portugal at the London Design Biennale in 2016 and participated in the Beijing Biennale of New Media Art in 2016. She was nominated in 2015 by Time magazine for the Art and Technology Awards.
