Mark Boswell

(Asheville, USA, 1960)

Experimental filmmaker who founded Nova-Kino, a cinematographic theory that is based on the artistic movements of the 1920s, such as Dadaism, Surrealism or Constructivism. He studied Cinema, Film Theory, Dadaism and Surrealism in Switzerland, France, Germany and Florida. His films are nourished by found footage that is reedited taking on new meanings, and also incorporates digital technologies. He was Co-Founder of Alliance Film/Video Cooperative
and the Anti Film Festivals, Miami Beach.

He participated in Medialab Madrid with the video USSA: secret manual of the Soviet politburger (2001), a political cryptodocumentary that delves into the history of the American hamburger from a critical and ironic perspective to unmask the culture of fast food.
