
Artist, theorist and author who has created interactive multimedia installations on the blurred border between organic and inorganic. He studied Computer Science at the University of Canada and has a degree in Communications from the University of California. He completed a Master's Degree in Information Arts/Conceptual Design at San Francisco State University. He has been director of the Art and Technology program at Ohio State University. It carries out interdisciplinary work in its robotic installations that seek the articulation and synthesis of natural and technological culture. Recipient of international awards such as the Award of Distinction from the Ars Electrónica, Linz, Austria, 2004 and the First Prize Vida 3.0, Madrid, 2000. His works have been exhibited in several museums and are part of the permanent collections of The Kiasma Museum in Helsinki; Lille04 Arts Festival, France; Itau Museum, Brazil; Electronic Arts Biennale, Australia; The Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art; The Home Show from Seoul, Korea; V2 Dutch Electronica Arts Finland of Rotterdam, Netherlands; Image du Future of Montreal, Canada and The Exploratorium of San Francisco.
