Collective formed by Joan Heemskerk and Dirk Paesmans, key figures of net.art, through multimedia tools they question the omnipresence of technology in everyday life. They intervene and deconstruct software in an artistic way, altering the structure and internal code with an aesthetic purpose. The objective is to show the fragility of the virtual world and how a slight programming error can overturn an entire system such as a web page. In their works they break paradigms to create new meanings by experimenting with computer games, they make video installations where they dismantle computer systems, opening cascades of windows across the screen, coded error messages, and files replicating themselves endlessly.
They participate in Medilab Madrid with the multimedia installation Spam%Spam (2004), a labyrinth of binary waste and spam.
