
Levin completed his bachelor's and doctoral degrees at MIT's Medialab. He studied with John Maeda in the Aesthetics and Computing Group. He teaches Interactive Design at The Cooper Union School of Art and Parsons School of Design, New York. His work encompasses performances, installations, graphic arts and online projects. He specializes in the development of interfaces that explore new forms of interactive audiovisual expression. He participated in the Ars Electronica International Festival 2001 and 2004; He has been awarded the Honorary Award of the Ars Electronica Prize for the interactive software of his Audiovisual Environment Suite and for the audiovisual and interactive project Scribble, both in 2000.
Participates in Medialab Madrid with the interactive installation and audiovisual projection Messa di Voce (2003) that explores the visual treatment of voice in real time.
