(Morlaix, France, 1968)
New media artist, researcher and creative director of multimedia projects on mobile technology and spatial narrative, he collaborates with scientist and Doctor of Philosophy Rich Blundell (USA, 1965), creator of the collaborative ecological awareness project called Oika. This collaboration of a markedly multidisciplinary nature – between art, science, Big History, technology and environmentalism – aims to provoke a change in the way of doing and thinking about artistic practice around nature; placing special emphasis on the integration of new technologies (VR, AR, CGeomap,...) and their potential to develop ecological awareness. From this position, Fred Adam develops a project called Earth Stories based on collective narrative experiences based on the deep interaction of human beings with the Earth and its technological mediation. Through the geolocation of the experiences lived in the nature of the participating community, and only when they have been uploaded to the network through a simple interactive mobile app in the format of videos, photos, texts...; A deep shared and experiential knowledge of the physical environment is generated, paradoxically through access and connection to the digital environment. She is part of the Collective of ecoartivists and researchers Transnational Temps together with Verónica Perales and Andy Deck. The structure of the collective changes according to the needs of each project. Her artistic production is situated at the confluence of art/technology/ecology, addressing, among others, issues that refer to biodiversity, environmental activism and ecofeminism. They promote the use of technological advances to understand the natural environment. They have devised the green digits, simulators of active participation in environmental change. Their works and workshops are situated in the ecoartivist movement that is born from the confluence of art, ecology and cultural activism and they collaborate with environmental organizations to be able to articulate a network of plural dialogue that amplifies the call to commitment to the biosphere. They have participated in the banquet_metabolism and communication exhibitions Transitory Identities, where they explore the transformation of identity in our current era of media, computing and telecommunications.
