(Valladolid, 1965)
He studied Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca and at the Rijksakademie institution in Amsterdam. His artistic practice, of a highly conceptual nature, moves between performance, film, photography, text, sound or drawing. It uses space to investigate the relationship between work, artist and spectator through performance, a field of research where the text and the staging of a specific situation build a sensory and emotional experience in which the public is the protagonist. In this way, his work expands both in space (the exhibition hall, public space or the Internet) and in time, thus establishing connections with the field of performing arts and live arts in general. Explores the limits between fiction and reality through the narrative construction of stories and situations capable of questioning the social conventions that sustain us. He has participated in international art exhibitions such as Manifesta (1998), the Istanbul Biennial (2003), Münster Sculpture Projects (2007), the Sydney Biennial (2008) and the 13th documenta in Kassel (2012). She was the Spanish representative at the 54th edition of the Venice Biennale (2011) with the project 'Lo Inadequado', which turned the Spanish pavilion into a platform for reflection, criticism and debate on marginality, and in 2013 she returned to Venice to install The Joycean Society project at the Fondation Prince Pierre in Monaco.
