(Las Palmas, 1941)
Multidisciplinary artist, distinguished with the National Fine Arts and Velázquez awards, she has been developing an intense creative project since the seventies that starts from conceptual art to carry out site-specific interventions with a marked critical nature. She is one of the pioneers of performance art in Spain and has made numerous pieces of sound and radio art, among which those created in collaboration with the sound artist and composer José Iges stand out.
He has participated in Medialab Madrid with the installation Persona, an intervention that allows him to reflect on the notion of identity. Using visual and sound elements enhanced by digital and interactive technology, it proposes games and uncertainties to viewers. For banquet_03, he presents Don't talk with your mouth full, a performance in which Jurado and Iges ate non-stop while presenting news. With their intervention, they propose a reflection on the indolent consumption of news.
