
Lleida (1956)
Graduated in Art History from the University of Barcelona and European Media Master from the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, his artistic career has spanned different areas of creation: sculpture, photography, video installation and the internet. His first works focus on the object and its possible extensions. In the 80s and 90s, he made mobile sculptures that, accompanied by photographic sequences, investigated the possibilities of the expanded image and movement. During his stay at The Banff Center for the Arts (Alberta, Canada) he encountered audiovisual media, working with projected images, that is, creating with the essence of immateriality. Sisyphus (1995) is an exploration of the eternal pulse between man and his double. Since 2004, it has focused its activity on the digital medium, carrying out such emblematic proposals Z (2001-2003) or audiovisual communication projects on the Internet, such as megafone.net.
Develops the canal*GITANO project (2004) for Medialab Madrid, a digital public space woven with the connective material generated with different internet and mobile networks by young gypsies who travel through their city.
