
Artist, curator, writer, researcher and university lecturer at the University of Sunderland. He was 'researcher in residence' at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She is co-founder and co-editor of the website CRUMB, Curatorial Resource for Upstart Media Bliss, a resource for curators of new media art. He has experience practicing the arts in photography and video, from interactive media installations to low-tech games. He has curated the exhibition of international interactive artworks by Serious Games, at the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle and the Barbican Art Gallery in London. He has lectured at the Banff Center for the Arts, the Tate Modern and the Victoria and Albert Museum. She is the author of the book Digital Media: Directions in Art (Heinemann, 2003) and co-author with Sarah Cook of Rethinking Curating: Art After New Media (MIT Press, 2010).
