Architect. He is founder of Guallart Architects (1993), co-founder of the IAAC (2001), chief architect of the city of Barcelona and general director of Urban Habitat since 2011. Pioneer in the field of interaction between nature, technology, urban planning and architecture, his Innovative hybrid projects include Sociópolis (in Valencia): or Sharing Blocks (in Gandía).
Pioneer of the interaction between nature, technology and architecture, he proposes new paradigms based on the urban, social and cultural conditions that emerge from the information society, crosses borders through collaborations of geology, sociology, engineering, manufacturing, economics and software design fusing architecture, nature and new technologies. Their projects follow a "natural" logic, referring to components originating in nature, as well as environmental systems. A logic that connects nature with the transformations of urban spaces, social organizations and the digital world.
He has won several awards for his innovative and collaborative work.
He participated in Medialab Madrid banquete08 with the “Sociópolis” project.
