Visual artist. Investigates human reality and its perception/construction, focusing on generative systems. His work includes virtual reality environments, robotics, installations, collective online spaces, community projects, lyrical machines and live performative formats. He has developed interactive works that use breathing, eye movements and other aspects of the human body as a direct interface.
Co-founder of the Codelab laboratory, Berlin (in Residence at Podewil), of which she was director between 2000 and 2002. She was a professor at the HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design in Germany, where she directed the area of electronic media teaching (2008- 2012). He studied Philosophy at the Ludwig-Maximilian University (1983-1985) and Painting and Applied Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (1985-1990). Postgraduate at the Städelschule New Media Institute, Frankfurt (1991-1993).
He has participated in various programs, including: Helicopterlab, Eurocopter Germany, Messerschmitt Bölkow Blom (1990); Canon Artlab, Tokyo (1993); and V2-Organisatie, Rotterdam (1996-1998); and in international festivals and galleries.
