
Visual artist. He was born in Chile and raised in Colombia. He studied film and television in Bogotá. Since 1999 he has lived in Paris, working mainly in video and visual arts. In 2004 he completed a doctorate in arts (University of Paris I) and has held a research and teaching position since 2011 (University of Paris VIII).
His works have participated in several international exhibitions and festivals. Public space has been a central theme of his research and artistic practice. In 2009 he created 'GardeTemps', a temporary light and video sculpture for the City of Vancouver's Olympic Public Art Program. His monumental installation Elsewhere has been on display at Malmö Central Station 'Citytunneln' since late 2010. Between 2012 and 2016 he worked mainly on generative video pieces and installations. In 2016 he completed 'The Lost Image', a discontinuous artwork for Nydala and 'Örebro Variations' for the city of Örebro in spring 2017.
He participated in MediaLab Madrid with the conference “Video and public space” (November 10, 2005) and with the "Video-collage" workshop (November 7 to 11, 2005).
