Media artist and teacher. Professor at the Department of Digital Arts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Graduated in Visual Arts from the University of Art and Design Linz, Austria (1976-1977), in Educational Art from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (1980-1987), in Painting from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and the University of Art and Design from Linz (1978-1980) and in Multimedia Visual Art from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (1984-1988).
She has participated internationally in different exhibitions and has continued to receive awards such as the 2019 Visionary Pioneer Award – iX Symposium 2019, Society for Arts and Technology; the 2008 Austrian honorary prize for video and media art; the 2005–2006 Artist in residence at ZKM; the 2004 Artist in residence at 18th Street Art Center, Santa Monica; the 2001 International art prize of the federal state Vorarlberg or the 2000 International grant for working in the USA Austrian Ministry for Arts.
He participated in MediaLab Madrid in “Digital Culture” with “Blut für Öl (Blood for oil), 2004”.
