Artist, teacher and researcher. Doctor from the UPV/EHU (2008). Co-director of the AKMEKA research group, group A of the Basque University System. Professor of the Department of Sculpture and Art and Technology of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV/EHU where he began his teaching work in 1999. Vice Dean of University Extension (2009-2017) and Director of Cultural Action of the UPV/EHU (2017-2020). Currently coordinator of the PhD program for Research in Contemporary Art and is a member of the academic committee of the Master in Contemporary, Technological and Performative Art.
As an artist, member of the collectives SEAC, Euskadi Selection of Concept Art (1994-1998) and Fundación Rodríguez (1994-2012), participating in artistic projects related to performance, new audiovisual and technological media and collaborative art. He has also been linked to independent cultural associations and initiatives. He was a member of the Amarika Assembly, a citizen group that developed the cultural co-management project Proyecto Amarika (2008-2011) with the Provincial Council of Araba.
He participated in Medialab Madrid banquete08 with the blog “Networks: forms of symbolic and social construction” (June 5, 2008) together with Santiago Eraso, Arturo (Fito) Rodríguez and Jorge Luis Marzo.
