Nacho Mastretta

(Barcelona, 1964)

Musician, composer and record producer. He is the creator of the musical project Mastretta, which he has led since 1998, and author of soundtracks for films such as El Gran Vázquez, Looking for Fidel, or Many Sons, a Monkey and a Castle. He studied piano at the Jesús de Monasterio Conservatory. In his role as producer he has worked for Liquits (Mexico), Tonino Carotone (Mondo Dificile), Peret, Pablo Novoa (Novoa crosses the Atlantic), Josele Santiago (Las Golondrinas etc.) and Augusto Bracho (Mercado de los Corotos), Marina Sorin. He has remixed Fangoria and the Mexicans Titán and has collaborated with countless bands such as the legendary Italian singer Renato Carosone, Peret, Julieta Venegas, La Marabunta, Xabarin Club, Feten Feten, El Show de Dodó, Racalmuto, La Musgaña, Fetén Fetén, Laicha, Enrique and Estrella Morente, among many others.
