(Almeria, 1944)
Honorary Emeritus Professor of the Pluridisciplinary Institute of the Complutense University of Madrid (of which he was co-founder in 1992). His research, teaching and scientific dissemination work, although focused on Physics, covers a diverse topic including non-linear dynamics, condensed matter, electronics, neurodynamics and robotics. It has also provided very significant scientific predictions and experimentally verified theoretical models in the field of convective instabilities, interfacial phenomena, liquid wetting, internal and surface waves, with great impact on the understanding of phenomena that manifest in the atmosphere, the seas and the oceans. His professional life includes various periods: 1965-1972 (Free University of Brussels and University of Texas in Austin), 1972-1981 (Autonomous University of Madrid), 1981-1993 at the National University of Distance Education and 1993-2019 (Institute Pluridisciplinary-Complutense University of Madrid).
At MediaLab Madrid he participated in the seminars held under the heading Cibervisión02. Winter cycle of Science and Technology at the Complutense University of Madrid that addressed the topic of flows from the most diverse angles and contexts.
