An unclassifiable artist, he escapes any classification within the avant-garde of the beginning of the last century, although he participated in them with his work, Lye charted a unique course. Painting, kinetic sculptures and animated films were the media that Len Lye chose to capture the essence of the movement. Lye was one of the greatest exponents of experimental animation of the first half of the 20th century: his animated films are an excellent combination of sounds and abstract shapes.
