Artist and teacher. Art teacher at the Schools of Fine Arts of Geneva and Perpignan. Their works and projects are focused on creating new intervention strategies in certain already consolidated social structures. The artist questions and criticizes the reality on which he wants to work. His works often take the form of complex projects that involve many subjects from diverse backgrounds. He does not work specifically or commercially with galleries, since his works operate in other circuits.
He has exhibited internationally in institutions and participated in cultural events in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa: Insite_05, Tijuana/San Diego; Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial, Niigata, Japan; and Dislocations, Santiago de Chile.
He participated in MediaLab Madrid banquete03 with “FROM WHOM?” MOBILE LOCUTORIO / FREE CALL, 2003”. This work proposes an environment of dialogue and communication that runs through the peripheral and marginal neighborhoods of the city. It consists of a caravan that houses two telephone booths. It offers the residents of the neighborhood, largely immigrants, the possibility of making a call at no cost. In return, a writer sitting in the same caravan asks them to have a conversation about the concept of communication, related to their personal experience. From these interviews, the writer will create a fictional story that will give voice to immigrants, marginalized and excluded.
