Researcher, essayist and university professor. Graduated in sociology, with a doctorate in communication, he is a professor in the Department of Communication Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where he teaches classes in "Political Theory" and "Cultural Criticism", his lines of research cover the Theory of Culture, Media Theory, Cyberculture, Contemporary Art and Political Theory. He is a researcher at the Center for Communication and Language Studies (CECL), of which he is director. Author of numerous essays in the most diverse areas of contemporary culture, among his publications are the following books: Analítico da Actualidade, Política y Modernidad, Traços. Essays on Cultural Criticism, Cultural Theory, Synthesis, among others.
