
Research associate at CoMPLEX (Centre for Mathematics and Physics in the Life Sciences and Experimental Biology) at University College London, and CPNSS (Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Sciences) at the London School of Economics. He obtained his PhD from University College London. He has written extensively on the origins of Western civilization and the role of neural plasticity in human evolution and modern cognition. He is the author, together with Dorion Saga, of “Up From Dragons: The Evolution of Human Intelligence” (2002).
