
Artist, researcher, doctor in Fine Arts and associate professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, teaching the subjects of projects II-drawing, audiovisuals, artistic production and creative documentary. He has received artistic awards and scholarships from the SRE Government of Mexico, Fundación Marcelino Botín, MataderoMadrid, Iniciarte Andalucia, Government of Cantabria, MedialabMadrid and the Junta de Extremadura in Spain. His work has been exhibited at the Guggenheim in Bilbao, the Cervantes Institute in New York, Stockholm, Dublin and Beijing; at the Cineteca Matadero Madrid, in La Casa Encendida, Madrid; at the MEIAC, Badajoz; at the Botín Foundation, Santander; in Espai de Caja Madrid, Barcelona. Her research project The Camera as Writing had a great impact and became an artistic work, collaborating with video artists such as Bill Viola, Alan Berliner and Agnes Varda.
He has participated in Medialab Madrid within the framework of the international photography festival PHotoEspaña 03 entitled “NosOtros: Identidad y alteridad” in the exhibition Transient Identities. He presented Reisezimmer (Travel Room), a visual and sound collage of daily life in an apartment full of cultural interference.
