Infossil

(Hechingen, Germany, 1961)

Group formed by Michael Saup, artist, musician and filmmaker who experiments with software as an art form. He has held positions at several universities, including the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and the Zurich University of the Arts. From 1991 to 1994 he was artistic and scientific assistant at the Institute for New Media in Frankfurt. In 1999 he was appointed founding professor of Digital Art at the ZKM/HfG Academy of Art and Design in Karlsruhe, where he remained until 2005. At Infossil his research focuses on the consumption and transformation of fossil resources.
