Visual artist. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts between 1991 and 1996. Since 2012 he has been a professor at the Vienna University of Applied Arts. The works of Hans Schabus have a direct link to spatial thought and experience; His sculptures and interventions frequently refer to the artist's physical and mental environment, especially his workshop and the materials he works with in it. Conduct an investigation of the place where art is created for its potential for analogy with life. His works can be interpreted as a meditation on creative art and its aspirations, but also on its difference from the activities of daily life. His films that deal with travel, speed and movement without a goal refer to the importance of interdisciplinary reflection for art.
