(Madrid 2002-2011)
Collective of architects, programmers, artists and activists, dedicated to investigating from theory and practice the emerging territories in which physical spaces, mobile bodies and electronic flows are found. Playing between digital space (using free software) and physical space, they explore new forms of reticular production. Composed by Pablo de Soto, Sergio Moreno and José Pérez de Lama. They regularly collaborate with other groups and projects related to the exploration and articulation of emerging cartographies of political, social, economic and cultural relations in certain geographical areas, to intervene in this through the construction of new communication architectures.
They have participated in Medialab Madrid with the architectural project WikiPlaza / Plaza de las Libertades (Seville, 2006), where they explore the translation of the practices and tools used by digital communities to the construction of a hybrid public space, of a cyborg citizen territory. The project was the winner of the International Competition of Ideas for the Planning and Construction of a Space for Freedoms organized by the Seville City Council. It is a 30,000 m2 public space and a 3,000 m2 sociocultural building located in front of the Santa Justa high-speed station, one of the main entrances to the contemporary city, one of the main intermodal nodes. The urban proposal consists of a continuous, fluid and non-hierarchical topological space. The contribution of hackitectura.net is about the incorporation of a multilayer architecture of networks, hardware, software and digital data that allows the social, participatory production of public space, as imagined by Lefebvre or the Situationists. The space would be a citizen laboratory to explore the social uses of technologies. They also presented the installation Emerging Geographies (2007), where they explored singular territorial experiments, which, starting from a peripheral situation in the European and global context, are becoming central in the contemporary redefinition of the relationships between technology, creativity and society.
