
Permanent researcher at the University of Valencia, he has developed Anatomical Network Analysis (AnNA) as a novel methodology. His main research topics are evolutionary dynamics, embryonic development processes and the relationship between the two (Evo-Devo) through formal and mathematical concepts that derive from the science of complexity. He participated in the Ramón y Cajal program in 2006 to research at the Cavanilles Institute of Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology of the University of Valencia, where he formed the Theoretical Biology research group. He has published scientific publications in journals such as Nature, Science, Bioessays, Physical Review Letters, Journal of Experimental Zoology, Journal of Anatomy, Anatomy and Embryology or Evolutionary Biology.
