David Casacuberta

(Barcelona, 1967)

David Casacuberta is a professor of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is interested in a multitude of topics, from gastronomic aesthetics to bioethics, but his research focuses on the social, cultural and cognitive implications of digital technologies, and how classical Eastern thought can help us better understand what the mind is. and who we are at the end of the day. In 2003 he won the Eusebi Colomer prize for the best essay on philosophical or ethical aspects related to the new technological society and the Ingenio 400 prize for the best net.art project around the 400th anniversary of Don Quixote.

He participated in Medialabmadrid within the Cibervisión02 framework in the meeting-workshop on models of self-organizing systems on the Internet and in the framework of banquet_metabolism and communication in the seminars around the analogy between social and communicative networks.
