
Writer, teacher and artist. Professor in the Department of Art and Technology of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV/EHU, artist and researcher. He belongs to the groups SEAC (1994–1998) and Fundación Rodríguez (1994–2012). Curator of the INJUVE plastic arts exhibition (1999-2001); curatorial group of Madrid Abierto (2004-2008); HAMACA selection committee (experimental audiovisual platform).
Curator among other projects: “Beste Bat. A look at Basque radical rock” (with Miren Jaio) at the Sala Rekalde in Bilbao. 2004; “Stand by: TV” for Caixaforum, Barcelona 2007; “Control Panel: Critical Switches for a Surveillance Society” at the Seville Art Center 2007; “Electoral spots: the spectacle of democracy” (with Jorge Luis Marzo) Palau de la Virreina, Center de la Image, Barcelona, 2008; “Jaime Davidovich: Biting the hand that feeds you”, 2010, Artium, Vitoria-Gasteiz. Curatorial team of the project “Apologia / Anthology: Tours through video in the Spanish context” (CAMEO / Hamaca / UPV-EHU / Tabakalera Donostia), 2015.
He has exhibited individually and collectively since 1988. He has written scripts for film and television; He has participated in the direction of short films and documentaries. He writes periodically in specialized press about contemporary art and culture. He has published “Zutabeak, Microessays on art, culture and society”, distributed by consonni.org through its Beste collection.
He participated in Medialab Madrid banquete08 with the blog “Networks: forms of symbolic and social construction” (June 5, 2008) together with Santiago Eraso, Jorge Luis Marzo and Natxo Rodríguez. Also with “Red and everything that comes attached…” (July 28, August 25 and September 22, 2008).
