
Doctor in Physical Sciences from the Complutense University, Professor of Applied Physics at the University of Alcalá de Henares. He has been director of the Maritime Climate Department of State Ports: During his time, operational models were launched, still in operation today, for predicting waves, tides and currents, and one of the best oceanographic measurement networks in Europe was installed. . His specialty is climate and climate change. He has given around 200 conferences on this topic throughout Spain, and written around 500 popular articles.
Member of the Board of Directors of the European Climate Forum, an association of scientists from all disciplines, businessmen and administrations, dedicated to promoting knowledge of solutions to the problem of Climate Change. Member of Scientists for the Environment and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has been President of Friends of the Earth/Spain.
