Politician and writer. He studied in France at the University of Caen, where he obtained a doctorate in Social Psychology and a diploma in Psychopathology. Researcher in Social Sciences, she worked at the University of Abdijan (Ivory Coast) and currently collaborates with several national and international organizations. She was Minister of Culture and Tourism of Mali between 1997 and 2000. In July 2005, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Press Service. That same year he chaired the Organization Commission of the Polycentric World Social Forum of Bamako.
She was awarded the Prince Klaus Prize for Culture (Netherlands) in 2004 and has received numerous recognitions in Mali: CIWARA of Excellence (1995), Knight of the National Order of Mali (1996), Officer of the National Order of Mali (2006). ) and commander of the National Order of Mali (2008). Traoré is one of the most outstanding African intellectual voices in the search for an alternative in opposition to liberal globalization. Coordinator of the Forum for another Mali (FORAM) and director of the Amadou Hampaté Bâ Center (CAHBA).
