She began as a painter in the forests of British Columbia (Canada). In 1980 she became director of Softimage, a leading international 3D software company. He began writing about virtual reality in 1991 and, in 2005, completed a PhD in Immersive Visual Space from the University of Plymouth, UK. <br \/>He has received numerous awards, including an Honorary Doctorate in Fine Arts from the University of Victoria (Canada) in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally recognized for being a pioneer in immersive art in the field of virtual reality such as &quot;Osmose&quot; (1994-1995) and &quot;Eph\u00e9m\u00e8re&quot; (1998).
